Tokyo Game Show 2009 held on September 24 to 27 had closed. How was this year? |
![]() |
Disappointed. |
![]() |
Nothing worth notice? |
![]() |
Different from E3, it's not an event for announcing new titles, so nothing new. All announced through magazines. |
![]() |
For new, PSP has a price cut huh. |
![]() |
Yeah. Wii's price cut was announced at the same time, but the Big N wasn't at TGS so that's another story. |
![]() |
Why was that so boring? |
![]() |
TGS had many announcement in the past. Now it is user-oriented, so different from E3's business-oriented style. The effect of E3's business position makes Japanese companies avoid making announcement at TGS. |
![]() |
That's sad for Japanese. |
![]() |
Voice actors event, goods selling etc. were fully adopted though. If you love that, you can enjoy the event. |
![]() |
But there is news saying the number of visitors decreased compare to last year. |
![]() |
That's due to Japan's calendar. We had 5 days holiday before TGS so we just lost the strength for TGS. And the new influenza had an effect too. |
![]() |
The new influenza is raging in Japan. |

Though nothing new, that's the biggest game event in Japan. Many people came enjoyed. Visitors counted 0.185 million for 4 days, that's OK. There is a problem that too many people make you hard to enjoy the games, but it's still a worth-noticed event. |
