In FF13, you engage an enemy directly on the map and the battle will start. So when you engaging an enemy, try to sneak to its back. |

If you assault enemies on the back, their Break Gauge will be nearly full from the beginning. Blow a multi-hit magic on them and they will all enter Break State. As for the merit of Break State, please refer to "Break State, a Merit in Battle". |

A few enemies form a group. For example, there are 3 enemies. If you try to engage one's back but the other 2 enemies are looking at you, you fail. |

There are enemies that look the same from the back and from the front, hard to identify. But enemies always chase you when they notice you, so you can use this to identify which side is the back. Anyway, try your best to assault enemies on the back and battle will be easier. |
