This time I want to explain the merit of Break State in battle. |
![]() |
Enemy enters Break State when our attack hit the enemy and fill its Break Gauge to maximum. |
![]() |
Mere attack is not enough. |
![]() |
Yep. Debuffs can fill Break Gauge too. However, Break Gauge always reduce gradually, if our attack can't continue, the Break Gauge accumulated will vanish and you need to do again. Break Gauge has 2 parameters: a bar accumulate when chain combo has been maintained and a bar reduce gradually. When your attack hit, the reducing bar would increase back to maximum. If you do nothing, the reducing bar would reduce gradually and when it touch the bottom, the chain combo bar vanish. A bit complicated huh. You better try it out when you got the game. |

Maintain chain combo and the Break Gauge will accumulate. |
![]() |
And there are some attack which can accumulate Break Gauge easier. Commando's attack is hard to accumulate Break Gauge, while Ravager's attack can accumulate Break Gauge rapidly. |
![]() |
Then we should use Ravager to start attack. |
![]() |
However, attacking by Ravager only would make the reducing bar of Break Gauge reduce fastly too. The merit maybe cancel. |
![]() |
Then what should we do? |
![]() |
Don't use Ravager only, but Commando or other roles too. Just add one Commando in your team can solve the disadvantage of Ravager. So if you feel troublesome to Paradigm Shift, just set a "Commando, Ravager, Ravager" Paradigm. However, start with "Commando, Ravager, Ravager", then Paradigm Shift to "Ravager, Ravager, Ravager" can raise the Break Gauge faster. |
![]() |
Enemy fight back and the team would get hurt, then we need to think about Medic. "Ravager, Ravager, Ravager" is effective, but we need to consider "Ravager, Ravager, Medic" according to the situation. |
![]() |
By the way, what is the merit of Break State? |
![]() |
During Break State, player will be able to inflict high amounts of damage. A bar will gradually deplete during this period; when it becomes empty, the break state ends. |
![]() |
Able to inflict high amounts of damage huh. |
![]() |
Also, during Break State you can knock some enemies high into the air. When you succeed, that enemy can't fight back and you can attack it one-sidedly. In order to keep that enemy float on the air, the whole team should concentrate all attack at it. Since you can only control 1 character, your job is to attack the enemy during the space of your teammates's attack. |
![]() |
That's all? |
![]() |
Knowing these can improve your battle skill. Remember, break, then concentrate attack. When the enemy enters Break State, shift to a Paradigm which has Commando, and the attack will be more effective. However, if the whole team are Commando and there are a number of enemies, the AI would choose to fight other enemies and not the "breaking" one. If that is the case, shift to "Commando, Ravager, Ravager". |
