I want to talk about a TP Ability "Libra". |

It is a classic White Magic in FF series. In FF13, it becomes a TP Ability which can be used in battle. |

What is its merit? |

To analyze enemy's status. |

Nothing different from the past. |

However in FF13, the effect is much greater. |

Why? |

In battle, party characters would fight automatically. You can only control your player character, and even your player character can fight automatically by using auto command. If you use Libra first, the whole party can fight according to enemy's weakness automatically, you don't need to do anything more. |

Fight according to enemy's weakness automatically!? |

On the contrary, if you have not use Libra, the party would use abilities which are immune to the enemy and the attack would have no effect at all. That's why you should use Libra every time when you encounter an unknown enemy. |

Even though you don't use Libra, after you fight against a particular enemy several times, your party will learn its status and the same effect of Libra will be achieved. However, there are enemies which would only encounter one time. You must use Libra to collect their information if you are interested in PS3's Trophy System, as one of the trophy is to collect all enemies' information. FF13 is a game which can't return to area of previous chapters, you better use Libra from the beginning. |
