Today I want to introduce 2 essential magic that you must master. |

And they are? |

"Death" and "Bio". "Death" can instantly kills enemy, while "Bio" can reduce enemy's HP gradually. |

They are classic magic in the series. Why are they become powerful in FF13? |
 |
If you have these 2, you can defeat some very strong enemies easily. |
 |

Provided that the enemies are not immune to those magic. Otherwise, they are meaningless. |

We can use Libra to find out if the enemies are immune or not. If there are marks at the upper right of enemies' status, they are immune. Bubbles is the mark of "Bio", and skull stands for "Death" immune. |

If "Death" is effective, just keep on using it and you can kill that enemy. |

Probability is a problem, so you need to try until "Death" really succeed. And during that, you only need to keep your team alive. Even though your team is defeated, you can RESTART from the beginning of that battle, so you can challenge again easily. |

As for "Bio", it can reduce enemy's HP gradually... |

You say gradually, so there may be some cases that we could never wait until the enemy die by "Bio"? |

I say gradually, but the decreasing rate is very fast... Even the final enemy of Quest can be easily defeated by "Bio". That is very effective. So if "Bio" is in effect, you only need to protect you team and wait the enemy to die. |

Who can learn these convenient magic? |

Only Vanille can learn "Death". Just train her Saboteur. She can learn "Bio" with Saboteur too. At the ending stage, characters can learn all roles, and even Lightning and Sazh can use "Death" and "Bio". But the default setting is Vanille. |

Because of that, you better strengthen Vanille's weapon, which has the merit of increasing the success rate of Debuff. |

We can strengthen the effect of magic by weapon too. |

Also, the success rate can be increase by setting the same role to all team members. If the whole team are Saboteur, Vanille's "Death" and "Bio" are more likely to succeed. Especially when you challenge "Death", please don't mind your team being defeated and keep trying. |
