Net sales is 1,434,365 million yen. Operating income is 356,567 million yen. Ordinary income is 364,324 million yen. Net income is 228,635 million yen. As for the net sales, overseas sales were accounted for 84.1% of total sales. |

All figures are worse than last year. |

Net sales decreased by 22%. Operating income decreased by 35.8%. Ordinary income decreased by 18.8%. Net income decreased by 18.1%. |

How do you think? |

Last year was too good, so it seems worse relatively this year, but really not bad. After the financial crisis, the economy is still not fully recoverd and the Big N gives such a result, it is good enough. But I'm worry about Europe's downturn. |

Sales and number of console sold had decreased sharply than other region. Compare with last year, sales in Japan dropped by 3%, North and South America dropped by 19%, Europe dropped by 34%. As for number of console sold, NDS in Europe (and other nearby regions) dropped by 28%, while Japan and North America keep rising in console sales. |

How should we interpret that? |

Europe economy is really bad. Greece's financial crisis is just an example. Other European countries are just as hard as Greece. |

If that so, we should worry about Fiscal Year ended March 31, 2011. |

The Big N has gave expectation about Fiscal Year ended March 31, 2011, and all figures would be worse than this year. Nintendo is a company making expectation fairly, so the situation is quite pessimistic. |

In the coming fiscal year we will have portable console "Nintendo 3DS" and accessory "Wii Vitality Sensor", I think we can expect more... |

Big N seems to be not expecting a big sales by these stuff. For example, they only expect NDS sales increase by 10%, i.e. totally 30 million consoles. Although they are launching a new machine, they only expect the sales increase by 10% than last year's 27.11 million consoles. Nintendo itself is pessimistic. Even though 3DS HIT greatly, they can't arrange enough production line to support the needs, so the effect will be limited. Also, they are pessimistic in game sales too. Wii's console sales and game sales are expecting a low figure too. |

Of course Nintendo had done too good till now. But this kind of product is really depends on TREND, or if they can create a trend. If they can, the sales will be much better. Anyway, we can only give the above conclusion from Nintendo's figure now. |

Hope they can create a boom to heat up the gaming industry. |
