DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies Review
	Today is the review of "DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies", which will be launched on July 11 in North America and July 23 in Europe.
	In Japan we had got it on July 11, 2009.
	We will review the Japanese version, so American and European can refer to it if you want to buy.
	We should introduce "DRAGON QUEST" Series first.
	Firstly, "DRAGON QUEST" Series is famous RPG in Japan. "DRAGON QUEST", "FINAL FANTASY" and "Pocket Monster" are the BIG 3 of Japanese RPG. And the newest sequel is on NDS.
	Even in Japan, people had complained about a DS sequel.
	PS2's "DRAGON QUEST VIII: Journey of the Cursed King" had great improvement in graphic, so many people want more. But NDS' graphic is disappointing, However, the sales of DQ9 is TOP of the series.
	We talked about that in "DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies' Selling Date Announced. Most Sold RPG in Japan", 4.29 million copies sold.
	And the reason of such success is due to factors in gameplay.
	Factors?
	Firstly, the Passing-By Connections. There are few features, most important is the treasure maps that can receive from other players. Some maps featuring monster suitable for level up. As a result, many people go out to play on the street, in order to receive those maps. And this invoke concern on Internet, so more and more people join the game.
	Some maps would name after particular gamer.
	Passing-By Connections also featuring a download function, you can get other players' data by that. Collecting player data affect gameplay, many people enjoy that.
	In Japan, many people concentrate in a small place, so it is easy to collect date.
	You can get huge result if you play at Comic Market or on train. Such indirect or virtual connection with others make us love the game.
	It has multiplayer mode, you can directly connect with others too.
	The game includes a quest system too. You can download new quest after the game's launching, and enjoy new story. The volume of the game itself is quite short, but there are huge number of quest. That avoid gamer to sell the game to 2nd hand shop too. As a result the sales is really great.
	2nd hand games is an old market in Japan. That is a new solution for the problem.

	That's an old-fashioned Japanese RPG.
	"DRAGON QUEST" Series is the origin of old-fashioned Japanese RPG, so no big change. No change keep old fans support. New games nowadays are too complicated for old gamer. DQ don't have such problem, that's why it's HOT.
	Deformated character run around the field, talk with NPC to get hint, and make story progress. Command battle in turn basis. Both side can attact once in each turn. There are physical and magical attack, and some special arts too.
	Such system is said to be Japan RPG, or JRPG overseas. That's depends on taste, but Japanese love such simple system.
	I worry if foreigner would like it.
	Repeat the above process and kill the final boss. And there are quest available after that. Many new enemies in quest so the game won't end too soon. In Japan, new quests have been released for a year, and the final quest will be available soon.
	That's all for gameplay.
	You can grow your character again and again, so you can enjoy the game for long time. That's good for those core users.
	But light user who don't play quest complain harshly of the short main story after the game's launch.
