I'm a bit shy, but I'm back from Comike. |
![]() |
So you are shy huh... |
![]() |
This year's Comic Market is HOT. Although we've got so non-existence bill in Tokyo, but next year Comike will still run normally. |
![]() |
Anyway, let's look back on 2010 game industry. |
![]() |
Any big move? |
![]() |
SQUARE ENIX and Yoichi Wada shown their evil nature. A big game maker in Japan doing business with such low quality huh. Last year the Seat of Evil was occupied by BANDAI NAMCO, but SQUARE ENIX rob the seat successfully. |
![]() |
No one want to rob such seat... |
![]() |
These problem are due to Wada's stupid management philosophy. He had sold all brand value so I would look forward to next year to see what he could do. I'm not just blaming a company, but this is a model case for us to see how a company fall by cheating users, and maybe how are they going to recover themselves. FINAL FANTASY XIV is trying to regain its trust. Let see if they can fight back. |
![]() |
Firstly they need to regain the trust huh. |
![]() |
This is really a hell. But there is a heaven too. |
![]() |
Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 3rd huh. |
![]() |
This year's game industry had been crashed by SQUARE ENIX. But on Dec 1, MHP3 cure the industry. MHP3 sales exceed SQUARE ENIX's FINAL FANTASY and Dragon Quest. In 2010 the actual sales is over 3.5 million copies and still selling good. In Jan 2010 it should hit 4 million. Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies had shipped 4.3 million, but MHP3 should exceed that. Really the TOP BRAND of 3rd parties. |
![]() |
The Big N is different, so here we just talk about 3rd parties. |
![]() |
This is really a turning point of the history from Famicom's 1983 launch. Dragon Quest launched in 1986 and FINAL FANTASY launched in 1987. Both have a brand for 20 years and they fall from their throne this year. A big issue for Japan. |
![]() |
Quite a chaotic year huh. |
![]() |
As for consoles, the Big N just take a rest. Other companies have no big move too. In December, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd created so needs for PSP but there is no further movement. |
![]() |
But in 2011 we have Nintendo 3DS. |
![]() |
Let see if 3DS would become the light of hope, or just maintain the recent situation. |
![]() |
That's all? |
![]() |
Due to SQUARE ENIX's foolish act, 2010 is full of darkness. But at the end Monster Hunter Portable 3rd heat up the industry. So this year is just okay. |
![]() |
Next year will be more active huh. |
![]() |
Hope makes can do better. Stir up the whole industry and make gamers happy. If there are such companies we would certainly support them. |
![]() |
Well then, we wish you guys a great 2011. |
![]() |
Happy New Year. |
