We've got submission. "I live in countryside, and only 3DS is available at gameshop, I can't find PSP. I have seen 2nd hand PSP but no new console. After the New Year it became scarce, the supply can't satisfy the needs? Or just because they have already shift to NGP? I can only find new PSP of North America version." (submission) |

I don't know where is this guy living but here in Tokyo PSP is out of stock at many stores. This situation continued for quite a while. |

If PSP is that HOT, they should produce as much as needed. Why does the supply couldn't meet the needs? |
| Because PSP is not popular. | |
![]() |
What the hell are you talking about, it is selling good!! |
![]() |
They already retreat from PSP. |
![]() |
I just can't get it... |

It is still hot in Japan, but worldwide? PSP is dead. |
![]() |
You should say that in the beginning... |
![]() |
But at least they should manufacture more for Japan, why are they not doing that? |
![]() |
As said, they have retreated. Worldwide sales would only drop. so the factory just closing. As for Japan, now is the last boom, won't improve any more. NGP will launch at the end of this year so the PSP factory will be useless. That's why they can't increase shipment to meet the needs. |

By the way, why is PSP still hot here? |

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, launched in Dec 2010, is one of the reasons. New users joined and old users need to buy a new console to replace. And some consoles are exported to Asia for users playing illegal software. And some would resell consoles at net auction at higher price. |

Various reasons create the recent scarce situation huh. |

You can buy a PSP easily outside Japan though. |
