Wii's Successor Announced. Shame on Nintendo for Announcing New Console Whenever They Have Trouble
So Wii's successor has been announced.
Launching in 2012. Details to be announced during in E3 2011 June.
How about this new Nintendo console following Nintendo 3DS?
A poor company huh...
What the!! It's a good news for a new console announced!!
It's too early to talk about Wii's successor. New console means new possibility, that's fine. But the way the Big N announcing it is quite a problem.
The way?
They announce it together with the fiscal year result.
So?
The result is bad, so they use the new console to escape from complaint.
Oh...
They could announce it loudly at E3 2011, but they choose to make it together with the fiscal stuff. Just a shame.
Well...
Not interesting to announce it like that, especially for an entertainment company. I expect more surprise.
Isn't it a surprise for announcing Wii 2 officially?
Well it's a surprise for them to maintain Wii's policy. I would just wait for E3 to talk more on that.
How about the launching date?
March 2012 would be earliest. N3DS announced at E3 and then launch in next year March. Feb in Japan though. I think this time would be the same, but...
But?
If the sales of 3DS improve and Nintendo's business result become a firm success, they would wait to launch after April 2012. Depends on 3DS.
Which is better for Nintendo?
In North America, year end sales battle is important so they would want to launch around that, maybe July would be earliest in that case. It is no good to launch exactly at the end of year as they can't predict the sales and arrange shipment. Or they would set for the year end, and promote the good result during the holiday season. After all Nintendo wants 3DS to fight back, hope they can launch after April 2012.
