The increasing method mainly as follows
  • Clear specific memorial missions
  • Sympathy value of specific character becomes 5.
  • Clear specific story mission
Conditions are not that much.
Regarding the history mission, skill could be learn as you play original gundam's history mission. For the other, which conditions are straightforward relatively, so could be learn as you continue to play the game. After that, just buy the skill from the character and set it to be effective

It's depends on your favorite. Domon Kash can learn a useful skill when sympathy level becomes 5, which would be a good idea for you to challenge it.
Okay then let's talk about how to increase the special equipment.
Basiclly while the Tech level increase, special equipment will increase gradually. This is nice since it's straightforward. There are also special equipment exclusively provide to some mobile suit, with a specific unlock condition. However, some mobile suit do not have these exclusive equipment.
What those condition like?
The main condition are as follow.
  • Specific character sympathy value becomes 4.
  • Clear specific history mission.
  • Clear specific challenge mission.
These are relatively straightforward too.
Most of the specific history mission belongs to original gundam. As a result, same as the other condition, you will get those special equipment as you clear history missions.
So how about challenge mission?
For this, which have to clear a very hard mission at last. However, there are also alternative way to acheive this.
What is it?
It can be achieved in online mode when becomes TAISHOU, but online mode is not much fun so I cant't recommend that. It can also be achieved by clearing the last story mode mission in hard mode...just go for the easy way. There are some mobile suit not problem at all with out special equipment, no need to force yourself to get it.
Anyway, it seems important to play variety of missions with different characters.
Just enjoy it as much as you can.

Let's introduce the mobile suit and character unlock method in our second gaming tips section! These information are based on Japanese version
At the beginning the number of characters can be used are very limited. As you play, the number will increase accordingly. Here, we will introduce condition for unlocking.
Firstly let's start from mobile suit.
For most of the mobile suit, you can unlock them by getting the blue print from defeated enemy. If you keep trying on the according map with appropriate enemy, you will get the blue print eventually. Although some mobile suit only allow specific chracter to ride on it, if you get the license, other characters could also ride on it.
But some of the mobile suit will be available to used only under special condition clear, right?
Here, I will introduce briefly regarding those mobile suit. The main methods to unlock as follows
  • Play history mission (The first gundam series)
  • Play specific challenge mission
  • Play main story mission
So we can unlock all the mobile suits by clearing these three conditions?
Yes you are right! If there are still blank field between mobile suits, that would be a good idea to take priority on playing mission not yet clear. However, the appopriate mission itself will need to be unlocked by other condition sometimes. If you keep on trying different mission, it will comes out eventually.
Then we will talk about character, so how about them?
It is a little bit complicated to unlock character. First of all, as you play on story missions, character will be unlocked. There are also several patterns.。
What pattern is it?
Including those partner character that can not be used directly by player, the patterns are as follows
  • Increase the empathy of specific character
  • Increase the specific mission
  • Clear specific memorial mission
  • Clear specific history mission
  • Raise Tech level to maximum

There are many ways, the basic idea are goes well with all the characters, increase the empathy, then clear lots of mission, the conditions will be achieved eventually.
